Craft afternoon/Night

Our Beth David Women Craft Group began many years ago when we were needlepointing a parochet for the chapel.  Once completed, it was discovered that it would not be suitable for pulling the drapery track open and we then commissioned world famous textile artist, Temma Gentles to create a parochet.  It was used for a brief time in the chapel and then removed, to be later hung as a tapestry in the Sisterhood Hall.  We switched to making blankets for Project Linus charities, to be delivered to hospitals and shelters in the GTA, notably Veahavta.  To date, we have donated almost 3350 blankets.  We also collect handmade toques, scarves and mitts for donation to the homeless.  Our participants are willing to teach knitting, crocheting and quilting.  Don't be shy and come for a visit!
