Beth David's Shinshinim, Elay and Tamar, and Adina, our Youth and Family Engagement Coordinator, volunteered on the Ve'ahavta van this past Wednesday night. Ve'ahavta has informed us that they are in need of clean: mens sweatpants, sweaters and gloves for all. If you are coming to shul in the coming weeks, please consider donating some of these items by placing them in the bin in the lobby. All items will be taken to Ve'ahavta on Wednesday December 27th, when we hope our next 3 Beth David volunteers will accompany the van. contact adina@bethdavid.com to volunteer on December 27th, 6pm-12 midnight, or if you have another night that you would like us to book for you.

The Art of Observing- In Remembrance of Lavi Lipshitz Wednedsay December 6, 6:30pm-8:30pm at Beth David This exhibit has been curated by our Shinshinit Tamar Tzhoari in memory of her friend and high school mentor Lavi Lipshitz. Staff Sgt. Lavi Lipshitz, 20, a soldier in the Givati Brigade’s reconnaissance unit, was killed in the northern Gaza Strip on October 31 by a Hamas RPG missile. Lavi had a lifelong passion for art and cinema. Throughout his high school years he was an arts major in the Israeli arts and science academy. He was even able to still have the arts as a part of his life during his army service. As he served in Givati, he opened an instagram account called @till_when_diary, where he posted the daily photo that he captured of his surroundings. This exhibition focuses on Lavi Lipshitz’s experience of life through his lense. Enjoy!
