No Silence on Race- A Panel discussion

Monday, 12 April, 2021 30 Nisan 5781

7:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Join us for a Panel conversation with two of the team members of No Silence on Race, an anti-racism initiative for the Canadian Jewish community, moderated by Rabbi Walker. We will hear from Founder Sarah Yacobi-Harris and Akilah Allen-Silverstein. This is an important next step in thinking about how our community can continue to build and move forward in our anti-racism work. This program will be in a Q & A format with set questions, but some time at the end for a few questions submitted from the audience.

She presently serves on the board of the Birthright Israel Foundation Canada Youth Leadership Counsel and she is also a mentor to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) high school and university students. She is co-founder of the movement No Silence On Race, an organization dedicated to creating more inclusive, anti-racist and equitable Jewish spaces, a Jewish community which not only accepts Jews of Colour but celebrates our existence.
