David Howard Goldberg, Phd. is one of Canada’s leading authorities on issues affecting Israel’s government and politics, Israel’s relations with its Arab and Muslim neighbours and the broader international community, Israel-Diaspora affairs, Canada-Israel bilateral relations and Canada’s Middle East policy.

Dr. Goldberg’s Ph.D. in Political Science is from McGill University. He holds a Specialized MA in International Affairs from Carleton University. His Honours BA in Political Science and History is from York University. He is the author, co-author, and co-editor of a number of scholarly books, chapters, and articles and reviews.

He has recently published articles about the challenges affecting Jewish conversions in Israel, and Canada’s relationship toward UNRWA, on canadianjewishrecord.ca.

Dr. Goldberg’s eighth book, Historical Dictionary of Israel, 3rd edition, was published in September 2016.

David Goldberg previously taught Political Science at York University and had a long career with national Jewish communal organizations including the Canada-Israel Committee, Canadian Professors for Peace in the Middle East, and Canadian Jewish Congress.

A native of Toronto, David Goldberg and his wife Sheri are the proud parents of three daughters and one granddaughter.
